Gratitudes

1. Going home for the first time since Christmas and seeing my family and the amazing new place we're going be living at the LAKE! Check out our dock people! Can it be summer now please?

2. Hanging out with my sisters...(we missed you, Banana)...I love my sisters. Especially when they come to weddings they weren't planning on and when they run 8 miles on a Saturday morning with me. :)

3. Stonefacing with all my friends from high school...I think it's pretty rare to have such a close, hilarious, inspiring, supportive group of friends from high school.

4. Seeing one of my best and most loyal friends be a beautiful bride for the weekend and all the love and partying that happened in celebration of her and Jon!

Gratitudes

Obvious statement of the week: Medical school is not so fun.

So,
I've decided,
like this amazing girl,
to start keeping track
of
some of the many, many,
many
things
I am grateful for.
Because there are many.
Did I say many?

Gratitude #1

Having about 25 of your friend show up for a sunrise (the sun rises at 5:30am people!) hike on a Friday morning before class.
Having your friend lead you in yelling "BANZAI" at the top of your lungs to welcome the sun and celebrate 10,000 years (its translation) of life & happiness.
Ya feelin' it?

Road trip!

So, I'm going on a cross-country road trip with summer with my med school friend who I will here call 'wonder woman' for the fact that she's a seriously strong, beautiful woman and can rock a mean red & blue outfit complete with hero-like belt.

Aaaaand I want to look like this on the roadtrip.

Need to stock up on:
short dresses
exotic scarves
long sleeveless vests (preferably leopard print, clearly)
a canvas backpack

i am to be reassembled after the
final check point"

of age old traditions based on
submission and fear
one must stand
alone
to be free of the restraints of a culture that instills
the will of material possession and domination into its citizens
one must learn to honor
the substance of their materials
the etymological roots
of their findings."

Animal Spirits

We maintain the nerdiness even during our study breaks.

Find out your animal spirit here.

You are a Hawk!

Characters: Galen, Thera, Zilus in the Aspect of Crow trilogy; Maxine in "The Wild's Call"

Powers: Communicate with the divine, discern powers in others, photographic memory

Hawks are the messengers of the Spirits. Adept with language, you might be a writer or a teacher. Your ability to assess situations impartially means that people often seek your guidance before making decisions. A brilliant visionary, you sometimes forget the mundane details of life like eating, sleeping, or paying bills.

Best matches: Owls, Foxes, Spiders

Watch out for: Otters, Bears, Horses

Oh lordy...

so that i can study enough to go see the whigs play tonight.
even though i have a neuroscience exam in the morning.
eeeeeks!
