Oh hey!
My name is Krista.
This little blog has been around in some form or another since 2008.
It's my space to keep me accountable and inspired.
And I hope, if we're lucky, to inspire you a bit as well.
To showcase the heart-breaking beauty of the world,
acknowledge the humanity of us all,
and to create community to carry us through the hard times.
I also want it to be a space to document my family and our adventures.
My daughter asked me the other day,
"where did you grow up, mama?".
I want to be able to show her where and how she grew up.
As for me, I had to tell her "all over".
I was born in North Carolina,
lived in Ohio, Florida, Chicago, South Carolina, and Georgia.
I went to college in Scotland.
I worked in an architecture firm in NYC.
I travelled around the world with my very best friend for 6 months
visiting Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Morocco, South Africa, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania, India, Australian and New Zealand.
I moved to Burlington, Vermont for medical school and fell in love.
With Vermont.
And with my husband, a born and bred Vermonter.
I did my psychiatry residency here,
and so far,
we have two pretty adorable daughters.
